Life Story, Personal History & Family History
Putting together your life story is one of our most comprehensive projects. This type of project spans the memories, people and events of an entire lifetime, and it's also called an "autobiography" or a "biography", depending on whether you do it yourself or with help. We can provide support (as consultants) as you assemble your own history, or work with you to deliver a finished project. A family history includes interviews and stories from an entire family group.
If you are a young family just starting out, we have a special service created just for you!
Memoirs, Memorials & Special Occasion Tributes
A memoir may be a description of a specific event or selected scenes from your life. It ranges from one brief recollection to a lifetime's memories. If you've lost a loved one and want to memorialize them, honoring that person with a narrative recollection or a video tribute can bring closure, happy memories, or serve as a salve to grief. We can also put together a special tribute for other memorable occasions like birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, bar or bat mitzvahs, graduations or retirement parties.
Business, Organization & Community Histories
We can record the stories, actions and dreams of visionaries who created a company, an organization or a community. We can also help preserve the histories of any organizations or communities.
Collections: Recipes, Family Folklore, Travel & Pets
If doing an entire life history seems overwhelming, think about putting together a collection of memories on one of these subjects.
Different than a living or standard will, an ethical will is more of an emotional document than a legal one. It records your values, beliefs, lessons learned, hopes, wishes and dreams for your family, friends, and community.
Legacy planning is a spiritual element of estate planning; it involves creating a document that includes directives as to how historical family photos or documents should be dispersed or preserved, if there is to be an archive of such materials, what you would want your obituary to say, or how you would like your memorial service to be handled.
Family Tree, Genealogy
If you are looking to learn more about your ancestors, we work with expert genealogists who specialize in this research. If you already have some data compiled on your forebears, but wish to go deeper, we'll work with you using library, web, newspaper or government records to find answers.
If you do not see the type of family history or legacy project you wish to pursue listed here, please contact us to discuss what you'd like to do. We are eager to help you create a piece that best suits your personal history and life philosophy, and appreciate creative energy and your ideas.
